UGGS + Shorts

The weather has been great lately. So great that people are now starting to wear shorts. Now I don't have a probably with that. It's nice outside. Fine. Go put on some shorts. What I do have a problem with is this:

I've seen numerous amouts of people/celebs wearing shorts and UGGs. WTF? I have yet to understand peoples logic when it comes to that. Honestly, if it is warm enough outside to wear shorts why the hell would you wear wool lined boots? That's like me wearing a fucking ski jacket in the middle of July. Do you want your feet to sweat? IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE! You don't look fashionable. You look stupid. I don't care how comfortable they are. You look stupid.

Sure I can't stop anyone from wearing UGGs but please, save the UGGs for winter (or rainy/cold weather at the least).

UPDATE 5/6/09: Apparently they don't make your feet sweat. :P

Effortless

So I'm usually opposed to the 'shorts with leggings' trend (tights I can tolerate) but this girl is an exception. I saw this photo and I couldn't believe how awesome the outfit was. Here are the basics:

Wearing: M.I.A. T-shirt and leggings, vintage cutoff shorts and sunglasses, Converse trainers

The pattern on those leggings are sick! I love the colours. I love the shoes. I love the sunglasses. I love everything about this oufit! Although, I'm sure I could never pull it off as well. I wish I had the same crazy cool style. It appears to be so effortless for some people. Psht. As it is wasn't already good enough...The girl is carrying a goddamn Sidekick. AKA my dream phone since forever.

Balmain

Credit to JustJared: Beyonce was seen dinning out with her hubby Jay-Z this past Monday (April 13). She looks great! Without even reading you can totally tell she's wearing Balmain. The funny thing is, I posted a set on Polyvore a couple days ago and the whole outfit is almost exactly the same as this. I paired the jacket with acid wash jeans and gladiator heels. Little fact: Did you know that that partciular Balmain jacket goes for $11,00+! *Sigh* there goes my dream of ever owning one. Why must all these designer clothes only be available to the super rich?!?

I'm down with the jumpsuit trend. If worn correctly, I think it looks rather cute. I don't like that particular one on Debby so much. I'm sure Jane could rock it though. Although, I don't think I could pull one off myself. I was thinking of trying a Maxi Dress instead. Old Navy has some nice, affordable ones. Getting it hemmed is going to be a bitch though. I hate being short sometimes.

I'm going to go to bed now...Dream happy dreams about Pelayo Diaz and whatnot. Haha.

One last thing. I just realized that blogger had spell check. I accidentally stumbled over it and was like WTF. That would have saved me a lot of time in the past. I can be such a ditz sometimes..

Men and Kilts.

Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick modeled a kilt during the 'Dress To Kilt' Charity Fashion Show at M2 Lounge in NYC on Monday. Fashion god blogger Pelayo Díaz Zapico wears a kilt as he poses for a picture for his blog, katelovesme.

I think it's kind of obvious who pulled it off better (*cough* Pelayo). I don't think I would want my guy to wear a kilt, but if it was Pelayo I'd definiately make an exception. Isn't he kinda sorta gorgeous?

Vanessa Hudgens was seen pumping gas into her car at a local gas station. She looks cute! I like her outfit. The boyfriend/chunky cardigan is great. I'm not too sure about the shoes though. It's a pretty tendy outfit nonetheless.

This is one's old but it's one of my fave Zanessa pics. Pictured at the airport after their trip to Brazil. I just realized she's wearing the same cardigan as the 1st pic. They're so cute! Please get married already!

This one's pretty old too but I just had to comment on Miley's outfit.

Because purple velour Juicy Couture sweat pants, a gray sweatshirt, and gray UGG boots with peace signs at the front of them is just such a fashion forward, super hot outfit! I give Miley props for being fashionable and having such an original style! (Sarcasm, obviously)

Fashion Fix of the day: Sass and Bide// Shenae Grimes does a Fashion DON'T

Miranda Kerr was on the catwalk for designers Sass & Bide during the David Jones Autumn/Winter 09 Season. I think she looks beautiful! Totally different from Victoria's Secret.

I'd be glad to wear any of these outfits.

90210 and Degrassi:TNG star Shenae Grimes was seen out shopping out and about the other day.

Honestly Shenae? You have a ton of money from 90210 and that is the best outfit you can come up with? That little emsemble makes you look like a fricken hobo and the cart just adds to the whole hobo look. The plaid shirt is okay and the jacket I can live with but those boots and headband completely wreck it. Regardless if your a celebrity or not, you should always look your best...even if it is only to get groceries. But hey! We're all guily of commintting a fashion crime now and again (I know I am). Better luck next time Shenae.

Special Post: Grammy's! =)

So the Grammy's were on today and I admit that the only reason I was watching was to see Taylor Swift perform. I was really reallly excited when I heard she was going to perform her single "Fifteen" because I absolutely love that song. I was upset however when I heard it was going to be a duet with her "BFF" Miley Cyrus. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Miley fan but that song is just NOT a song suited for her voice. And guess what? I was right. She totally wreck the song! She was yelling, her voice was over powering, and she made really weird facial expressions. Honestly, what was that? Anyway you guys can judge for yourselves. I thought Taylor was awesome but Miley was just horrible. Better luck next time! Actually never mind that. I don't want there to be a next time when the have a duet. They can both remain as solo aritist thank you very much. Pictured below are both of their dresses. Taylor's is by Kaufman Franco and Miley's by Max Azria I believe.


I loved both of their dresses. I love the neck line on Taylor's and the flower on Miley's. Miley's was surprisingly age apropriate. I'm use to seeing her in a strapless number with her boobs pushed all the way up to her neck. Gosh I'm so mean. =/

After their performance I lost interest and stopped watching after Adele'd performance. The Grammy's weren't that great this year in my opinion. I'm not too sure why. In previous years they've been like this Insanely Epic event. ;)

Fashion fix of the day: Head Dresses//Taylor Swift!

Hey guys! So if you haven't already heard, Taylor Swift is coming out with a line of sundresses with the brand L.E.I. They'll be availiable at your local Walmart next month everywhere in the U.S. of A. Sucks for me since I live in Canada. Oh well, the next time I get to go to the States will be Spring Break...I'll just have to get one then.

My fave. She looks stunning!

In other news...Karl Lagerfeld's Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week collection '09 had some seriously insane head-dresses. They are made out of paper for goodness sake!

Loves it! Karl's is just ah-maz-ing!
