Trend overload alert! Damn, look at those shoes! Nothing says 'BFF' like matching UGG boots. You live in sunny California. Why the fuck would you need to wear UGGs? If the weather requires you to put on sunglasses, I don't think it would require you to put on a pair of shoes suited for cold/winter weather too.
UGGs in L.A. (or any hot place) I will never understand....
Photo of Samantha Droke and Ashley Tisdale. Credit to OceanUp. (Question: Why have they been hanging out so much?)
I'm in planning class right now. Will post more later.

Aww they're wearing matching leather jackets and holding hands. Give me a moment while I throw up.
I've been eyeing the first 2 pics and can't figure out where the heck it was taken. I'm pretty sure the 3rd one was taken near The Keg, the street across Joe Fortes. Looks like Nikki Reed has a case of being the third wheel. I would have loved to be there and meet them but to tell you the truth, Michael looks very unapproachable. I'd probaly end up just staring as they walked by. And this being 1/3 a fashion blog I can't help but comment on their choice of clothing. This (3rd pic) ladies and gentlemen is NOT how to wear a leather/motorcycle jacket. This is also NOT how you cuff your jeans. Sure I'd expect that from KStew but I thought Nikki would have more style than that. They should invest in some new (nicer) shoes too. Michael's outfit has potential. The jeans need to be tighter, the jacket more fitted, maybe throw on a vest or cardigan? Shaving wouldn't hurt either. Overall the outfits had potential. They just weren't executed properly. =)

So I finally go myself a copy of Taylor Swift's 2nd album 'Fearless' this past weekend. I know it seems super late being a huge fan and all. My excuse? I'm cheap and I was waiting for it to go on sale. It was only $12.00 at Walmart! I already know all the songs give or take a few, but the CD booklet was (obviously) new to me.
Here's a little excerpt from the back of the booklet (you know, the part where the artist thanks people?). It's long but it's well worth your time reading it:
"This album is called 'Fearless,' and I guess I'd like to clarify why we chose that as the title. To me, 'Fearless' is not the absence of fear. It's not being completely unafraid. To me, fearless is having fears. Fearless is having doubts. Lots of them. To me, Fearless is living in spite of those things that scare you to death. Fearless is falling madly in love again, even though you've been hurt before. Fearless is walking into your freshmen year of high school at fifteen. Fearless is getting back up and fighting for what you want over and over again...even though every time you've tried before, you've lost. It's fearless to have faith that someday things will change. Fearless is having the courage to say goodbye to someone who only hurts you, even if you can't breathe without them. I think it's fearless to fall for your best friend, even though he's in love with someone else. And when someone apologizes to you enough times for things they'll never stop doing, I think it's fearless to stop believing them. It's fearless to say 'you're not sorry,' and walk away. I think loving someone despite what people think is fearless. I think allowing yourself to cry on the bathroom floor is fearless. Letting go is fearless. Then, moving on and being alright...that's fearless too. But no matter what love throws at you, you have to believe in it. You have to believe in love stories and prince charmings and happily ever after. That's why I write these songs. Because I think love is FEARLESS. "
I don't know about you but I thought that was kind of amazing. Very inspirational. As dorky and weird as it sounds, when I first read that it made me tear up a bit (In a good way). I don't know why. I guess I'm just a loser. Haha. I cry easily.
-"'Fearless' is not the absence of fear. It's not being completely unafraid. To me, fearless is having fears. Fearless is having doubts. Lots of them. To me, Fearless is living in spite of those things that scare you to death. " I love that.
-"Fearless is walking into your freshmen year of high school at fifteen." I remeber that day quite clearly. I remeber being a huge dork trying to figure out how to open my lock on my way home. Freshman year was scary.
I just thought I'd share this with all of you. Reading this made me love, appreciate, and respect Taylor more than before. She's honest and real. Listen to the album if you already haven't. Everyone can relate.

As said in the post below, here are some of the other Street Fashion Blogs I visit:
*They're clickable links if you couldn't already tell. =P
If you're new to the whole fashion blog thing try checking out the blogs I have listed on the side ("Always"). Sea of Shoes, Karla's Closet, and Fashion Toast are a must see. I also love Hand me over. Wendy who runs the blog inspired me to go out thrifting. Although I wasn't as lucky as her it made me realize that there's nothing wrong with buying clothes from a thrift store. As a matter of fact, almost every fashion blogger goes thrifting. But that's another post.
Street Fashion (via Urban Dictionary)So basically the people who own these blogs take pictures of random people the see on the street or anywhere for that matter (hence the name "Street Fashion") who they think have great individual style based on their outfit. Sounds like fun, eh?
Hope you enjoy it and find some inspiration as much as I do!

Fox News:
Watch it ^^. So Fox News decided that they would mock the Canadian military on Sunday March 22nd. I'm not going to comment on the military taking a break thing because I don't know too much about it. Being a Canadian myself I found the whole rant to be stupid and offensive. The people on that show come off as nothing but ignorant. What's wrong with a guy with the name Andrew Leslie? The last time I checked, Andrew was a boys name. And not all Mounties ride horses...We have a Police force too with cop cars, bullet proof vests, and everything else thank you very much. "This is not a smart culture". Fuck you.
Thoughts?

EDIT: User removed the video. I guess the comments were getting out of control. Hopefully someone will post it again.
^^ Watch it. How awkward was the show down? I totally agree with Dan. After watching this video, Kristen comes off as more of a bitch than before. She needs a serious attitude adjustment when it comes to doing interviews. The girl is like...What's the word? Socially Awkward? I love The After Show/MTV Canada.
...Oh and read the video comments. The little KStew fans are hilarious.

How cute are they? Gossip Girl stars Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr were spotted walking around NYC today. They sure aren't afraid to show some PDA. Normally I'm not too big on the whole fedora situation, but it works for her.

All photos from The Sartorialist.
The world would be a much better place, dontcha thing? I think I'm going to shoot someone if I see another guy wearing Nike Shox, Ed Hardy shirts/hats, The North Face jackets, or baggy jeans down to their knees. Ugh. Don't even get me started.

WHAT FUCKING PART OF "SMOKING KILLS" DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND? It's really not that hard to comprehend. Honestly, who doesn't smoke on that set. FYI: Our school is a smoke free zone so keep away the cancer sticks next Monday would ya?
While we're on the topic of smoking. I'd like to take this time to adress a few things. Smoking on any circumstance does not make you 'cool'. I for one find it disgusting. You people who smoke in front of the school or at lunch think you're so great. News flash. You're all fucking idiots. I don't think it's anything that should be respected for or proud of. How can you be pround of slowly killing yourself? Because that is what you're doing. Do you not understand what lung cancer is? Do you think all these PSA's and shit are fake? I'm pround to say that I have never tried smoking and probably never will. All these young people (and people in general) that I see smoking just piss me off. It's stupid, ignorant, and I don't have a single ounce of respect for any of them.
Sorry if that sounded harsh.

I just had to put these up ^^. They're Margiela High Tops for goodness sake.
All shoes from Browns.

These ones date back from Friday (March 6th) but they weren't posted on JustJared until now. Again, they're hanging around Downtown. I'm not too sure what exact streets those are but I do know roughly where is it. How great is Kristen? Shoving that cancer stick into "BFF" Nikki Reed's mouth. Sarcasm, obviously.
I wonder what hotel they're all staying at. Four Seasons? Hyatt? Hotel Van?

Looks like Barbie is getting a high fashion (not to mention expensive) makeover.
Via PerezHilton: In honor of Barbie's 50th anniversary, Mattel is "introducing" the doll into the fashion industry. This month, Barbie and Ken will be on display at France's Colette boutique. But, making the occasion even more special, (the great) Karl Lagerfeld is dressing the dolls that will be displayed in the windows of the famed Paris boutique. The exhibit will start on March 9th and last through the 28th. They'll even be a whole week in March when the store will display the first ever Barbie and Ken dolls created. Barbie will be dressed by Lagerfeld in everything from dresses to swimsuits, jeans, and even a Chanel suit.
I wouldn't mind playing with those. They clothes alone probably cost more than my whole wardrobe combined. *sigh*
Brilliant.

So Mary-Kate and Ashley's line Elizabeth and James has revealed their Spring 2009 collection. In my opinion the collection isn't anything too special. It consists of some great blazers as well as a few cute dress. It's comfy and casual but still manages to be fashion forward. The above crappy collages I pulled together are a few of the clothing and jewelry pieces that I really liked. The only thing I'll probably be able to afford is the brass ring on the far right ($95.00). I wish they would make an affordable line kind of like Sarah Jessica Parker's "Bitten" or Amanda Bynes' "Dear". I remember buying a ton of suff from their children's line at Walmart. I still have this pink tweed blazer that I bought back in grade 6 or 7. I never did wear it...

From Style.com: The Dsquared² girls strutted down the catwalk clutching Starbucks venti lattes and Mochaccinos and toting Us Weeklys in their big leather It bags. Jourdan Dunn checked her BlackBerry, peering over the rims of her retro shades, while another model sucked on a cigarette.
The Starbucks is what got me. It gives it a nice touch. I love the effortless layering. Check out the rest of the great collection HERE.

Seems like Kristen Stewart has been taking my advice about smiling more. She's been unusually friendly with the paps lately. Almost makes her a bit more likeable than her normal grumpy self. Keyword: Almost. Now all she needs is to hire a good stylist. Those shoes(1 pic) are awful and don't even get me started on the whole denim-on-denim ensemble (2nd pic). Baby steps people, baby steps.
